LTE eNode B or WiMAX BS


Base station transceiver system for the newer LTE or WiMAX standards (as opposed to the older 2G and 3G equipment).


LTE or WiMAX equipment is newer than previous generation equipment. They’re smaller and combines technology into a single cabinet. The unit contains baseband processing units for each sector and usually has a remote radio head on the top of the tower.
